I. OVERVIEW

CLASSIFICATION OF MOTOR VEHICLE LICENSE

Class B – Motorcycle exceeding 500 cc
Class B2 – Motorcycle not exceeding 250 cc

II. WHY MOTORCYCLE

  1. Less expensive to purchase. On average, a motorcycle will cost you less than motor vehicle.
  2. Cheaper to maintain. Motorcycle require very little maintenance, and generally maintenance and repairs end up being significantly less costly.
  3. Better fuel efficiency. The end results is that motorcycle have been known to save drivers 30 and 40% on their fuel costs than motor vehicle
  4. Easier to ride and overtake in heavy traffic

III. COURSE OUTLINE

  • Theory – (6h)

  • Theory Test

  • Learning Driving License (LDL)

  • Practical Driving (15.5h)

  • Trial Exam (QTI) – 30 Minutes

  • JPJ Practical Test

  • Probationary Driving License (PDL)

IV. ENROLLMENT PRE-REQUISITE

  • 16 years old and above (based on birthday)
  • Physically and mentally fit
  • Must not have any problems on eyesight and colour blindness test
  • Must not have any summons or suspension from PDRM & JPJ

ENROLLMENT DOCUMENT

  • Identity card or passport (foreigner only)
  • 3 recent license size photo (white background)
  • Valid employment pass, student pass, work permit & dependent’s pass (foreigner only)

  • Motorcycle inspection routine (RPK)
  • Pre-driving routine (RSM)
  • Riding on a cement plank test
  • Weaving between cones
  • Emergency braking
  • Riding into a sharp bend crank course
  • Riding in a circular ‘8’
  • Slalom test

Part III

  • Pre-driving routine (RSM)
  • Practical driving test on the road
